This guide will provide an overview of how to use Ultra VNC Viewer to remote into computers.

Transferring Files

 

1. Open UVNC and remote into the computer that you would like to transfer a file. In this case, I am remoted into reg989N:

 

 

2. On the window of the computer you are remoting into, press the File Transfer button on the top taskbar.

 

 

3. At this point, you will have a window open that will let you select which files you would like to transfer to/from your local machine (left) to the remote machine (right):

 

On the local machine pane (left), navigate to the location of the file you would like to transfer. In this case, I am transferring a file named 'Distribution-List-Members'. Single-click on the file to select it.

 

 

4. On the remote machine pane (right), click on the location to which you would like to transfer the file. In this case, I want to transfer it to the Desktop, so I am going to double-click on the Desktop. Take note of the path displayed on top of the pane. 

 

 

5. Once you selected the file and where you would like to transfer it, click the Send >> button. You'll know this is completed if the progress bar on the button indicates that the transfer is complete.

 

 

6. Afterwards, click the X button on the transfer file window to finish.
