This guide will attempt to explain how to reset your Microsoft 365 password. This will be helpful for instances where your Goodwill password expires, and you need to change your password.

Remember: your Microsoft 365 password and Windows login password is required to be changed every 90 days. You will receive an email reminding you to change your password. You will first need to change your Microsoft 365 password, THEN your computer password

You will need to change your Microsoft 365 and Windows login password to be the same.

Part One: Changing your Microsoft 365 Password

First, check if your account name is your last name followed by your first name by clicking on the  icon on the bottom left and hovering your mouse on the  icon

If this is the case, click here to skip to part two.

  1. Double click on your preferred internet browser (Microsoft Edge, Firefox, or Chrome)

2. Using the search bar, type https://www.office.com/. Then, press Enter on your keyboard and click the first link. (In this example, I’m using Google Chrome. You’ll be able to follow the same steps using Firefox or Microsoft Edge as well)

3. Click 'Sign in' on the top right corner of the screen. If you're already signed in, you won't see this screen. If that happens, skip to step #5.

4. If you’ve signed on previously with your computer, you will have options to select which account you want to sign into. If you do not see your account displayed on the screen, click ‘Use Another Account’. Then, type in your Goodwill email address and password.

5. Click your display name on the top right corner. A tab will appear - click 'View account'

6. Click on 'CHANGE PASSWORD' under the Password section

7. Finally, type your current Microsoft 365 password in the 'Old password' field. Type your new password under the 'Create new password' and 'Confirm new password' field. Remember, the new password MUST be the same as your Windows login password. in other words, whatever password you use to log into your work computer must be the same as the password you're creating.

Part Two: Changing your Computer Password:

1. Using your keyboard, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to open the menu shown below (PLEASE NOTE: The steps explaining this process will be hidden once you start. Please take a note by hand of the following steps to finish so you do not lose the instructions):

2. Click ‘Change a Password’. Type the correct information in the fields and press the  button when you’re finished
