GLASS
- Glass
- Glass can be a very valuable material when it is crafted by hand or when it is very old. Collectors look for those rare pieces to complete their dinnerware set or to add a new, decorative touch to their curio cabinet. Items particularly sought after are made by Fenton, Westmoreland, Imperial, Fire King, Pyrex, Hazel Atlas, Blenko, and more. Another item to look out for is Vaseline glass. These pieces are usually yellowish-opaque in color, reminiscent of Vaseline petroleum jelly. When placed under an ultraviolet light (black light), these beautiful works of art will glow a fluorescent green color. Vaseline glass can also be translucent and green in color.
